Grouse was found together with his siblings, Cypress and Seymour in a cardboard box, with their umbilical cord still attached. The person who spotted the dogs waited for the entire afternoon for someone to claim the pups, or the mother to come by, but no one came. The rescuers were called to take the puppies and nursing them to health. Grouse is the largest in the litter, but with the most “simple and honest” temperament. Grouse takes it even when his siblings Seymour and Cypress pick on him. Like his siblings, Grouse loves food, which makes it easy for obedience training.
Currently, his walking routines are done on the weekends only, so he still need some training with walking on leash outside. It is funny that he can go potty in cat litter boxes! The rescuers think Grouse will grow to around 15kg when fully grown.
