Lexi is a release from the puppy mill. When the rescuer took over, she found that Lexi has a high degree of knee dysplasia. After the surgery, Lexi becomes very playful and happy! Lexi’s fairly quiet, and only alert barks with other dogs. She’s very adaptive to new environment but may take some time to warm up to people. Perhaps it was due to the lack of puppyhood, she still tends to chew on slippers and wires. She will need some time to manage and modify these behaviours.

Titi was one of the residents in the public shelter in southern Taiwan. The volunteer/rescuer saw Titi’s carefree disposition and took her in for future rehoming. She has been living with her foster family for almost two year; however, she has not received any adoption application locally.
Titi is a loving, mellow & friendly girl. She can be a little shy in the beginning, but will open up once she gets to know you. She does not have a vocal cord, so you will find her extremely quiet. Due to her ears degradation, she might not hear very well when she’s in deep sleep. Titi will fits well with any households with low to medium energy.

Quinton was brought into the shelter just days after he was born, along with 3 other siblings. Unfortunately all 3 puppies passed away soon after they were rescued; Quinton was the only one survived.
One day the rescuer went to the animal shelter for other matters and saw Quinton was leash outside the office. He was playing with some volunteers and kids. The vet from the shelter persuaded the rescuer to take Quinton out from animal shelter. After learning Quinton’s story, rescuer agreed to arrange a foster home. He is now ready to find his furever family.
Quinton was a little shy in the beginning, but warmed up very quickly after he becomes familiar with the new environment. He is affectionate and likes to follow people around the house. He is still young for loving family and proper training! DM for more info about Quinton.

Olivia was a baby stray, traveling alone without siblings or mom. She wondered to the vegetable stand trying to eat some leftover lettuce leaves, but the locals tried driving her away with sticks and yelling. When Olivia first meet a stranger, she may seem timid at first. She warms up quickly with treats, and after she warms up, she’s one of those happy go lucky puppies! She loves playing chase with dogs! Being a Formosan Mountain Dog x, she will grow to a medium size dog, approximately 15-18kg and of slender built.

Chance is truly a smart, connected, loving, sensitive dog! He is a different dog depending on how he is handled. When well led by a connected and engaged human Chance is calm, extremely responsive, obedient, and non-aggressive. Left without enough leadership, structure and stimulation Chance is anxious, ignores cues, and guards aggressively. This is very typical of shepherds and shepherd mixes (which we suspect Chance is). In the right hands Chance is an amazing dog, the kind so connected and loving that he steals your heart. This gorgeous and sweet boy desperately wants to give someone his everything, you just need the skill to handle it! https://washingtongsd.org/about-gsds/ (click to learn more) He enjoys his offleash forest walks but should always go back to the basic leash training at least once a day. Duke will do well in a home without children and cats and a family that has medium high to high energy lifestyle to cope with his need for mental and physical stimulation.
Chance was just weaned and wondered on the street with his mom in Southern Taiwan. One day, a foreign worker from a culture that eats dogs took Chance away from his mother. The rescuers were following the pup closely, and thought Chance would have a chance of a happy home, but that wasn’t the case. They let chance roam without feeding him. If he’s thirsty, he travels to next door drinking dirty water. When he’s scared, he runs to hide under the neighbour’s couch in the open carpool. The neighbour successfully convinced the owners to surrender Chance, and named the pup, Chance.
Chance was quickly adopted in Canada and traveled here to live with a young family and another Formosan Mountain Dog and he was named Duke in the new home. Maybe it is because he treasures his new family too much that he developed reactivity towards dogs and people, and had to be muzzled when walking outside. COVID has contributed to his separation anxiety, and Chance would break out of the house to look for mom if she leaves the house only for a few minutes. When Chance broke out of the home, he would go around the neighbourhood, barking at people and refused to be touched by anyone. Worse yet, he started to lunge a children. The family tried everything they could including hiring a trainer and stay in close contact with CooGo. After careful considerations, they decided to surrender him back to CooGo.
In the new foster, Chance was sad for the first week and wanted to break out of the home to get back to his family. With patience, love and management, he quickly bonded with the foster, and learned how to socialize with dogs while controlling his guarding instinct. Chance loves hiking the North Shore mountains and thoroughly enjoys playing chases with his Formosan friends. Chance is still learning to enjoy himself in the dog park but mostly he stands at the side and appears intrigued. He likes going into the streams and burry his nose in to nudge and play with the pebbles. He also has fantastic recall even when in stressful situations. Right now, he lives with his foster mom, dad, a dog, three cats, and a 12 year old child.
Chance is a smart, connected, loving, sensitive dog that displays classic shepherd traits. Quoting from the Washington German Shepherd Rescue’s profile (click to learn more), Chance needs an assertive, emotionally strong, and at the same time easy going leader to be his owner. He can co-exist with children but anticipate nips and guarding behaviours towards the child in the beginning.

Hera is extremely well behaved and quiet. Even if other 6 dogs alert bark, she would only stand up to check on what is going on, then go back to sleep and doing her business. She never chew, but she would not play toys either. She loves walking with her person, and just trotting leisurely. After around 30-40 min walk, she quietly hangs out at home with other dogs.
Hera can be skittish in the beginning with people – male or female, but after a proper sniffing of hands, she will let the people pet her body. Hera is almost like a kitty in this regard – she would not actively seek for affection, but if it is her human petting her, she would head butt their hand for affection.
Currently, Hera is potty trained and would only go on the grass outdoors. This being said, she might prefer pottying indoors in the beginning at a new family when getting used to the new environment. She is food driven when she knows her people, but will not take treats from people she does not know.
Hera will do best in a home that is medium energy, and can come home mid day to break up the long days. Because of her history, the new family will need to be patient and build her confidence with strangers.

Levi was rescued from the shelter as a long term resident. Because he’s been crated extensively in the shelter, he may still pay in the crate if using the crate as a potty training tool. Currently living with a couple 2 children, and has 5 dogs and 8 cats. Levi can be slightly shy in the beginning, but because he’s quite food driven, he warms up quickly when there’s treats.
