Izzy & Ozzy were found together with their mother and another sibling. The mother appeared to be inexperienced in raising puppies and gave birth to the puppies on the asphalt. The rescuers intervened and spayed the mother after the puppies were weaned. They didn’t have enough fostering space so the rescuers returned the puppies to where they were found. Despite constant effort to feed and protect, Izzy & Ozzy’s sibling ended up falling into and drowning in the ditch. The rescuer wanted to prevent the tragedy from happening again, so they took Izzy and Ozzy in.

Near where the rescuer works, a dog mother just gave birth to 3 pups. When they were found, the pups were so young that their eyes were still closed. Maybe it was her first litter, the mother gave birth on the concrete surface. There were a lot of discharges around the puppies’ nose. The mother didn’t have enough milk to nurse the pups, so the rescuer took the mom and the pups home to nurse them.
During the month of fostering, the mother and the pups were happy and healthy but no one took interest in adopting them so the rescuer had no choice but returning them to where they were found.
Two weeks later, one of the pups fell into the ditch and drowned. The rescuer knows that they should take the remaining pups back before another tragedy happens. The pups were Ozzy and Izzy.
They now live with their foster mom, dad, and 8 other dogs. They are good with cats, the foster parents, dogs, and children. It’s time for Ozzy and Izzy to find their forever home!

*Dog Friendly: Plays well with medium small size dogs. Can be nervous when meeting large dogs so will need some firm leadership
*Kid Friendly: Will approach for pets
[post_text_body]
Keller is a happy go lucky kind of dog and a big suck when it comes to people, but he needs a bit more work with larger dogs saying hi to him too enthusiastically. As a result, he will need a more experienced guardian, or someone who has the time and patience in the beginning to work with him to overcome the nervousness.
His potty is good for a 4 month old puppy and can now hold overnight. He can also stay in a crate quietly.

Eddie was one of the residents in the public shelter in Central Taiwan. The volunteer photographer/rescuer saw Eddie’s carefree disposition and took him in to be vetted for future rehoming.
Eddie is loving, friendly, and extremely food driven. He’s also very observant and will adjust his behaviours accordingly to please his human. He likes to dip into other dogs’ food bowls, and that often cause other dogs to react to him. He will fall on his back and scream for forgiveness and he will never fight back. He will stop the behaviour if the foster raises her voice to correct him. Eddie will do best in a home that has lots going, and lives a medium to high energy lifestyle. Of course, the future family will need to be patient for his barking in the transitional period.

After taking them in for a month, Honey and Ivorie started warming up to everyone and were extremely playful. The rescuers decided to keep fostering the two pups.
Ivory needs around 30 min to warm up to people in a new environment. She’s very food driven!

Aspala
Breed:Formosan Mountain Dog x Approx Birthday: Jul 25 2018 Gender: Female Weight: 13 kg Height (head to toe): 53cm Length (chest to base of tail): 50cm

*Kid Friendly: 4/5 *Dog Friendly: 5/5 *Cat Friendly: 4/5 *Barking: 2/5 Nibble: 3/5 Separation Anxiety: 1/5 Fear for Adult Men: 2/5 Active Level: 3/5
Harness Trained: Yes Potty: Mostly outdoor Basic Commands: Yes Pee Pads: No Ever Been Alone in Home: No
*Barking: only barks when she wants something ; potty, eating, or other things.
[post_text_body]
Aspala’s mother is a stray that lives in the small forest behind an elementary school. After she’s given birth to Aspala’s litter, all the puppies were taken away and sent to the shelter waiting for a home. After 5 months of shelter life, the puppies were spayed/neutered, and returned to where they were found. One puppy was lost, another was hit by a car, and the last one, the affectionate, loving and healthy Aspala was taken in by our rescuer to be fostered.
Aspala is very adaptive. She is playful, happy, loving, and does very well with larger dogs in the foster home. She can play with anything around her; whether it is a piece of grass, wood, or plastic bag, she keeps herself happy and entertained.
