Brooks was rescued from the shelter along with Crater, Logan and Lonar. He’s longer haired and super cute, so the rescuer took him home as well. He’s a typical happy puppy, but because of the early life adversity, he’s taking some time to warm up with men. We expect that he will get better with some patience and time!

Hila is a street dog at a temple in the fisherman’s wharf in Southern Taiwan. A car hit her and she could only walk on her front, dragging her injured back legs. The locals contacted the rescuers and Hila was rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, her back limbs have healed well and she can walk on all fours. The foster noticed a slight limping on the front leg, and the vet said her front leg was injured but has self healed. Poor girl has gone through multiple accidents as a puppy, and it is her time to find a loving home.

She’s quiet and obedient at home. She can be shy in the beginning, but opens up quite quickly in a few days

*Cat Friendly: Very curious and would sniff but will not chase

*Barking: If can’t get to where he wants to, he barks to let his human know

    [post_text_body]

Someone found Migi at the side of the road at the age of 2 months. At that time, Migi’s front right limb was already injured. The vet has found that his right limb is paralyzed and had to be amputated, and the procedure is done on Oct 10 2018.

Migi is generally quiet but will bark if he’s “barricaded” and cannot get to his foster. He barks to communicate his frustration and his want to be your best friend! Likes to play “paw paw” with dogs, but can get a little too into other dogs’ personal space. Because of this Migi often gets yelled at by other dogs in the foster home but he just walks away and try again later.

Being a Formosan puppy, Migi is full of vibrant energy however due to his “single arm” situarion, his daily walks should be limited to 30 min at a time. Migi is a super cuddle bug. He would do anything for a snuggle. He will fit best in a family where he is often the center of the attention, and is of low to medium energy

During Chinese New year, Teaks wondered to the foster mommy’s front door all by herself. The adult dogs at home wanted to sniff her when the door was open and Teaks got spooked and ran to the road. The rescuer rushed to claim her back,  and Teaks is surprisingly loving. She loves playing with everyone.

    [post_text_body]

Tanna was found alone by the side of the road, alone, and scared. She was forced to stay by the side of the road, extending her neck out to look for the car that she came here in, with no luck. Tanna was so skinny and malnourished so the rescuer thinks she has been waiting by the road for days. Tanna was very agreeable when being picked up. The rescuer sent Tanna to the vet immediately after rescue for her injured leg, and Tanna has since healed well.

Perhaps she was attacked by other feral dogs when she was on the street, Tanna gets spooked when dogs charge towards her direction. It is something that needs to be worked on. Confidence building is key. She currently lives with 10 other dogs in the foster home, and is peaceful with everyone. She prefers people over dogs and can be a love bug!

Logan, Lonar and Crater are 3 brindle brothers that were captured and admitted into the shelter when they were puppies. When Lonar first came to the foster home, he was like a new kid in the block, shy and awkward. After 2 days, Lonar starts to come out of his shell. He loves cuddling and snuggling, and would play with every pooch like there’s no tomorrow! As smart as he is, Lonar already knows the command to sit, but he often challenges the authority and would stand up on his hind legs asking for pets after. Being a puppy, he’s still going through the journey of potty training, but is getting used to going outdoors!

Currently he is being trained to eat in a group setting, so he will dine in the crate next to Logan. If they eat together in the same crate, the brothers will get mad at each other after eating. After the fight, they will make up and move on with their life.

When the rescuer went to the temple in the mountain in Central Taiwan in the beginning of November last year, she met Venice. Venice approached with a wagging tail but wouldn’t let the rescuer touch her until the rescuer pulled out a piece of chicken jerky. The rescuer spayed Venice and planned to release her back, but Venice’s sweet temperament and beautiful unique look captured the rescuer’s heart. She decided to find her a home.

She will chase after the postman’s motorcycle and barks at the engine. She might have a bad experience with the postmen before she was abandoned on the mountain.

    *Kid Friendly: May be skittish

*Cat Friendly: Respects and leaves the cats alone

    *Barking: Puppy barks

    [post_text_body]

Bambino is abandoned in a vacant lot in the rescuer’s neighbourhood, alone, and unattended. Being by himself didn’t seem to bother him; he goes up to everyone to say hi and to invite play. The neighbours called the rescuer in fear that a puppy as affectionate as Bambino might get hurt by people or simply get killed by running into the traffic.

Bambino is very well adjusted in a fostering home with children and men. He doesn’t live with the kitties but when encountering some at the vet, he keeps his distance. He plays well with other puppies in the home and dogs his size, but gets quite scared with adult larger dogs. The foster thinks Bambino may have been attacked by other dogs on the street. An x-ray screening revealed that Bambino had a broken hind leg at one point, but has healed completely. He can run and walk normally.
