Peca and Marbo were found with their mommy nursing them in a tiny little space under an abandoned cargo. The rescuer who found the family could not take the puppies, and that’s when the foster mother stepped in. They later discovered that Marbo was missing a front paw, but it doesn’t seem to bother Marbo. The foster mother put a cloth over his front paw to prevent rubbing on the pavement when he runs. Marbo is outgoing, loving and affectionate. He’s great with children, cats, people, and very well socialized with dogs.

The customers rushed out to save Euka from the incoming traffic and placed her in a cardboard box inside the cafe. When the rescuer went to get breakfast, she ended up taking Euka home with her.

Euka is petite in size and has no fear for the world. She’s fantastic with the kitty, children and dogs of various sizes. She’s consistent with her potty and goes on the grass in the patio.

Audi was rescued together with his sister Milva by a senior. But the senior did not have the experience or skills to rehabilitate the skittish pair, so our rescuers were called in and helped looking for fosters and preparing them for adoption.

Audi was shyer than Milva and took much longer than Milva did to become ready for a home. He is extremely cuddly, gentle, and very loving. He walks well on leash, although still slightly on the skittish side, he will improve over time.

Currently living with 6 other dogs in his Vancouver foster, Audi misses his foster family in Taiwan tremendously, and sometimes cries during the night. He has slowly come out of his shell just the second day in Vancouver! We are sure he will get better and better everyday!

In a new environment, Audi will want to hide instinctually. It is important to let him have a moment to calm himself, but it is also important to not let him hide all the time. Some skills and patience will be needed!

    [post_text_body]

The rescuer was on her routine to feed the dogs on the mountain when she smelled the rotten body. She found a mother dog and a few puppies that were poisoned to death, but a puppy was alive and refused to leave her mother and siblings’ side. The rescuer held her tears and buried the dogs, and took baby Sharlo home. Sharlo did not understand what has happened and was kicking as hard as she could to stay.

Trauma did not stay with Sharlo long. Under the care of the rescuer, she transformed into an inquisitive, outgoing puppy. She always wags her tail so hard that her entire body is shaking when she sees people. Sharlo is super smart and likes to ask questions. When the foster mother tells her to sit, she barks as if asking “why should I sit when you tell me to?”

In Vancouver, Sharlo is happy and very loving. She still has the puppy clumsy walks and is submissive during play. Her leash manner is improving but continuous efforts will be needed

Mintsy was found on the mountain in Central Taiwan, she was traveling with her daughter, and both were extremely skinny. After spotting the pair, the rescuer would go to the place at a set time to feed and deworm them. Both Mintsy and her daughter were extremely approachable, and they came to the rescuers when called. They agreeably let the humans put the harnesses on them, and take them to the clinic to be spayed.

Mintsy is very sociable and friendly towards adults and kids. She allows people to approach her and pet her. She loves outdoor adventures hiking and playing in the water. She has a fantastic car ride manner and is always curious of the scenery. She never barks randomly in the car or at home, nor does she ever pee or poop in the car. She has great recall once she warms up and gets to know you.
