Bardee has an impressive friendly smiley look that resembles a Labrador retriever, and he is as friendly, happy, affectionate as he looks! He loves the treats, the people, and the doggos! Having an outgoing personality, we think he will rock the life in Vancouver!
Bardee was the second generation of the strays on the mountain. Since his birth, Bardee has been fed by humans and thus is very affectionate and used to being handled and interacting with people. Because of his friendly nature, the rescuer took him into the private shelter to reside with 100 other dogs until a foster opportunity comes up. He was subsequently placed into a home with a woman, and three grown men. Bardee continues to do well in a family setting, and even gains (a bit) of weight from all the human attention!
Bardee is a very happy dog. He loves everyone but is gentle and passive with children. At the age of 10 months old, he has grown out of the puppy stage, but still retains the fun that puppies have in him. Being a short-haired Formosan Mountain dog, Bardee is medium energy and loves the outdoor activities. He will shed minimally and only seasonally. He will fit best into a household with medium to high energy lifestyle!
