Panther and Kuma are puppies of a TNR mother. When the rescuer released the mother back after spaying, she found the two pups sitting by the busy street. In fear of them getting run over by cars, the rescuers took the puppies and prepared them for rehoming. Kuma is currently living with 7 other dogs, 2 dog savvy kitties and a turtle. He takes some time to warm to strangers (a typical Formosan Mountain Dog trait) and needs some patience when meeting new people. Kuma loves dogs and will do well in a multi-dog household. Being a Formosan Mountain Dog, we expect Kuma to grow into a medium size, medium to medium-high energy dog that needs good physical and mental stimulation.

In fear of them being run over by cars, the rescuer took them in. Panther is a dog lover, and would like to play bite when playing with dogs. Compare to Kuma, he needs a little longer to warm up to strangers.

Being a Formosan Mountain Dog, Panther will be medium to high energy, short-hair, medium sized dog at under 45lb. Given the intelligent, stubborn, loyal, sensitive nature of the Formosan Mountain Dogs, Panther will do best in a home that is active, and have an assertive confident leading style.

Bailey Walking on the Streets of Beijing

    Bailey

    [post_text_body]

My name is Baily, I’m 10 months old now and I’m currently living in Beijing, China. I was abandoned in a construction site without my parents. I heard that even though we the Chinese Rural Dogs are native to the beautiful land of China; people here view us as tools. People here keep us as guard dogs, and if we get too old to guard the home, we get sold to the dog butchers for meat. These butchers electrocute us, boil us alive to remove hair, or kill us in ways that are unimaginably cruel.

Fortunately, I was spotted by my rescuer, Min when I was two months old. She took me to the vet, dewormed, vaccinated me, and gave me an overall check-up. Min told me that she couldn’t take me home because she has many of us, the Chinese Rural Dogs at home. She had no choice but leaving me at the animal hospital. It’s been 8 months since I first moved here, and the staff members would periodically let me out of the crate. Seeing the dogs come and go, I wish I could run free in the field just like them!

When Min came to the animal hospital to visit me, she told me that CooGo Rescue Foundation has been planning to bring me to Vancouver. CooGo has been rescuing dogs from Taiwan for the past 3 years and successfully rehomed more than 360 dogs. They have recently learned about how people treat dogs like me in China and are trying to find a way to find me a furever home! I got so excited until I heard about COVID has limited the volunteer passengers that can bring me over. Without a flight volunteer, it will cost around CAD $2500 to take me from Beijing to Vancouver. Will you chip in today to help me come to Canada??

At first, the rescuers left some food by a live trap cage under the fence , but Terra refused to come any close. So they removed the cage, brought over her mom and hope she would come out to interect with Leah. This did not change Terra’s mind after 3 days. Fortunately, the owner of the factory offered some help and Terra was eventaully able to reunite with her family.

Terra’s current forster family consists of a kind lady and some other puppies and cats. She adapted to the new environment very fast and started making friends the second day after she arrived at the new home. As of now, Terra is ready to start the next chapter of her life!

That being said, Pepper has a few puppy things to work on, including chewing, pottying, and basic obedience training.
