Potty*: Mostly outside during walking – peeing at home from time to time as puppies may do; always poops on the outdoor grass, never at home.

Pee Pads*: Knows how to use pee pad, but can pee on the floor when he gets too excited.

Ever Been Alone in Home*: Has never been home alone but shows no sign of separation anxiety.

Number of Feeding per Day*: 2 meals a day and can take away the remaining food, though Poter always clears the plate fast and is like a kid who wants food all the time.

Kid Friendly*: Willing to be pet and play with kids even while eating, but may bark to draw attention and invite them to play which can scare kids sometimes.

Dog Friendly*: Love to make friends with other dogs; Poter will always reach out to play with a new met pup no matter he/she is house trained or homeless.

Cat Friendly*: Have experience and can interact very well with home cats; as shown in attached videos Poter and cats will friendly chase each other but never had attactive tendency.

Barking*: Generally quiet, will only bark when he is desperate for food and haven’t had any barking issue ever since fostered in July.

Chewing*: Have some chewing issue at the moment due to the teeth replacement at his age, will need space limitation and some chew toys to avoid damaging home.

Separation Anxiety*: Can stay at home quietly while the owner is away for 10-12 hours. During the day, Poter sleeps most of the time or play toys, and will not bark or cause any damage.

Fear for Adult Men*: No fear at all and very friendly. Poter does not hide when a stranger of any gender try to pet him outside, and he will be more than happy to be pet when the person comes with a dog.

Active Level*: Medium active as a 4 month old puppy, it takes about 30 minutes to walk him and he gains the energy back fast after eating.

July 2020, a family of 4 puppies was abandoned on the roadside grass. Poter was the only survivor of this family and fortunately rescued on July 29th.

Poter has very bubbly personalituy and is friendly to both human and dogs. He likes to play and “bite” around for fun with other puppies, also enjoys running on the grass and along the beach. Overall Poter is an awesome house dog without any redflag for adoption.

Ranger was found dumped by the river park. The tourists saw Ranger by himself, trying to play with everyone. When it was at the end of the day, Ranger tried to leave with some of the tourists but was disappointed that no one was going to take him home. A passing by student saw this, and decided to take him home. Unfortunately, the student’s parents do not allow dogs at home, and he would only hide him. He knows it is a matter of time before his parents find out, so he made a post on social media asking for help, and that’s when the rescuer took over and placed him in fosters. Ranger is a happy go lucky and affectionate boy! He was so in Taiwan and still is here in Canada! In his Vancouver foster, he sleeps through the night with the little girl, and is doing very well with the resident dog and kitty! Although Ranger is generally friendly with cats, he sometimes forget the feline friends are not puppies! We will recommend supervision in the beginning when they interact.
