Zara is a shy and quiet 4 months old puppy with a tender smile and floppy ears. She is fairly timid and sometimes easily startled, however Zara has a number of new outgoing furry friends that teach her the ropes of socializing. With the right family, Zara will learn to be comfortable in her own skin in no time!

A volunteer discovered a gentle yet frightened Zara at the dog park while helping to feed the strays in the area. She noticed Zara’s small frame and anxiousness and didn’t have the heart to leave the puppy behind. Zara was brought back to the foster shelter for stability and rehabilitation where she’s been cared for, groomed and well loved.

Although Zara can get nervous around new environments and people, under the right conditions and patience she can be given a second chance to have a wonderful, happy and healthy life. She is a brown and black mix breed standing 40 cm tall and weighing 8 kg. She will most likely grown to be about a medium sized dog requiring regular outdoor exercise. Due to her jitteriness, she is not recommended off leash or around cats. She is still very young and with proper love and training she will improve with flying colours.
