When the rescuer walked by a parking lot in Southern Taiwan, she saw a little shadow hiding under one of the parked cars. In fear of Cheney being killed under the wheel when the driver comes back, the rescuer took him home.

Cheney loves playing with other dogs. He is actually in fact quite assertive as a puppy! If other dogs are too pushy when playing with him, he yells back and tell the dogs off. He already knows how to use pee pads at home, but will go out for potty on walks. Understands sit and paw.

Dalton appeared in the neighbourhood near the rescuer’s friend’s home. He was playing with the friend’s dog everyday on the street. The neighbourhood is not very friendly towards dogs, so the rescuer was contacted. Dalton was subsequently trapped and neutered. Dalton was super comfortable with people that not much of “Trapping” technique was used. The rescuer presented the treat and he just walked right over. Perhaps it was some habits from his past life, Dalton would dominate over puppies and other smaller dogs. After training, he’s much better!

Nance just arrived in Vancouver not long ago and is adjusting to the cold weather and all the fun doggos out there! She was a little hesitant at first but she soon made friends with her roommate Juicy! They would play nonstop (sometimes even in the middle of the intersection) and pass out snoring when the foster separate them for a time-out. Nance is loving and can be picked up, but she is still overly excited when seeing other dogs on walks. This still requires some good control and work. Food driven and crate trained, Nance can be a fun companion! She doesn’t let the missing limb slow her down and would jump up and down the couch playing if you let her. Being an amputee, she needs to keep her weight down, perhaps slightly less than a normal ideal weight. With the hind leg amputated, Nance can be more prone to ACL tearing, however, there’s no restriction for day to day movements.

The rescuer was on her way to trap and spay 3 female dogs, only to find the happy Nance running towards her. She has one of the kindest eyes the rescuer has seen in a dog! Just when the rescuer was going to pet her, she noticed the bones where protruding out of one of Nance’s legs.

She was scheduled to pick up her package from her usual convenient store in the neighbourhood only to find that the goods were delivered to the wrong store nearby. When she rushed over, she saw Rou strolling down the street like a runway model. She walks door to door sniffing leisurely, and don’t really care even when the people pay no attention or give no desire to acknowledge her. The rescuer took Rou in her arms, effortlessly, and Rou is just happy. No one has seen her before, and the neighbours all think that someone had dumped her there. It is fate that she needs to be rescued to rescue more people! Rou is extremely loving and food driven! She will bring happiness in your life! When the rescuer found them, one of the pups have already passed away, leaving Marsha and her sibling, laying on top of each other trying to stay warm and survive. The rescuer and her co-worker have been secretly feeding the pups until the boss found out. The boss ordered the rescuers to “get rid of” the dogs in 5 days, and that’s when the rescuers started to rehome them. Marsha’s little brother found a home right away but for some reason no one wanted Marsha. Marsha is extremely smart and loving. She learned to sit, paw, and potty on the pee pads within 3 weeks of time. Marsha is a curious and adventurous girl who loves exploring. Once she has scouted out the area and is satisfied that there’s not threat, she opens up and plays. When going out for walks, she loves running to the strangers, wagging her tail and saying hi. She gets attached quickly and always heels beside the foster when she goes out for walks. She dislikes the rain or water, so she might be reluctant to go on walks on rainy days. Marsha is very quiet at home and will only bark if she thinks you are putting down her food bowl too slowly (hurry up human!) [/post_text_body] Adoption Application Adoption Fee Foster Opportunity

Arno was found being tied to a tree, unable to find shelter under the rain or the blazing sun. When he was found by a local person, the person released Arno so he can roam, but only to find that Arno tethered again to the tree the next day. Upon further investigation, a senior was tying Arno to the tree to make sure that he doesn’t run into the traffic, and that he can feed Arno to make sure he survives. It is out of the good intent, however, it is not the best solution for Arno. The person contacted the rescuer, who took Arno to the vet. The vet discovered a large wound around Arno’s neck that looked like something had dipped into his skin. Worse yet, the wound is infected and started to rot. Fortunately it is caught early, and Arno has soon recovered from it!

Arno might have been attacked on the street prior to being rescued, so he gets scared by large dogs on the street. He will bark out of fear upon seeing one, and is something a new adopter needs to work with him. Arno has a consistent potty schedule in the foster home, but it may change when he comes to Canada and trying to adapt to a new lifestyle.

He’s a happy pup who loves chewing things. He also is very fond of kitties and would approach to groom her. This may or may not be a desirable trait depending on the kitties.

Arno gets along with all the dogs in the foster homes almost right away. Please however note that all dogs need some time to adjust to the new people, new environment, new dogs, and extra patience will be needed.

Woody was dumped by an elementary school in Southern Taiwan in July 2018. He still had a collar on him, but the “owner” was no where to be found. Woody stood in the rain for days, and let the fleas and ticks infest all over his body, but he refused to leave. He was still waiting for that person who “dropped” him off to come back and pick him up. In fear of Woody running into the incoming traffic, the rescuer went and took him in.

Since the day foster mother took Woody into the family, he has been living with 10 other dogs in the household. After a year, Woody has grown into a handsome, active, and loving boy. Foster mother describes him as a happy, loving, active, and affectionate boy. Extremely friendly with people and other animals, and is very curious toward anything new. Woody is extremely food driven, but can be slightly nervous when going into a new environment. He would pant and pace in the beginning, but will get used it and regular himself very quickly.
