    Missa

[post_text_body]Missa is a 5.5 months old introverted girl who is obedient, friendly, and quiet. Despite of her submissive nature, she interacts and socializes very well with other dogs. Although she can be somewhat jittery and shakey when meeting new people, she lets people pet her and opens up after a while. She is also gentle with children and other small animals.

Missa was found on a deserted mountain range in Northern Taiwan along with 3 other siblings. Not only were they covered in fleas, malnourished, but also manifested with corneal edema. According to the initial assessment, if Missa’s eyes don’t respond after 2 weeks of medication, the chances of recovery is slim. Fortunately, her eyes are improving just a few days after being on the eyedrops and she’s expected to have a full recovery!

It has been 3 months since Kala arrived in the foster family. Even though she’s only 5.5 months old, she’s stable, non-nibbly, and barks minimally. As a Formosan Mountain Dog mix, she is expected to grow up to 25kg, around 60cm tall 70 cm long, and will shed only minimally.[/post_text_body]

  • Kala

    Kala

[post_text_body]If this is the first time you have met Kala, she’d seem like that girl in the classroom who’s shy and reluctant to express her opinions. If you have hung out with her for a while, you see that she’s actually that naughty miss popular who loves rough play! She loves hanging around the foster mother like sticky Japanese mochi. Unlike some extroverted pooches, she is quiet, gentle around children, cats and other small animals.

Kala was found on a deserted mountain range in Northern Taiwan along with her sister. They were found covered in fleas, malnourished, and with skin conditions. After they were rushed to the hospital, Kala’s sister passed away due to pneumonia the next day, while Kala strongly hung on to her life.

It has been 3 months since Kala arrived in the foster family. Even though she’s only 4.5 months old at the moment, she’s stable, non-nibbly, and barks minimally. As a Formosan Mountain Dog mix, she is expected to grow up to 25kg, around 60cm tall 70 cm long, and will shed only minimally[/post_text_body]

[post_text_body]Rody is your textbook Formosan Mountain Dog with a cute donut tail. At 1 year and 5 months of age, he stands 78 cm tall, 72 cm long, and weighs 22 kg, he is energetic, athletic and people loving! Already completed his potty train and can also go outside for his business, Rody is ready to challenge the mountains and roll on the couch in the beautiful British Columbia!

Rody was found along with his mother and 9 other siblings, in a plain where little people attend. Skinny and malnourished mother had just given birth. The rescuers quickly took them into shelter and over time, adopted out the puppies and mommy. Just as the rescuer thought Rody got his happy ending, Rody was returned due to barking problems. Apparently, the new “forever home” was not filled with happiness, but the fate of being chained to the pillar for life at the side of the busy road. He barks and warns as people crosses and enters into his territory and was reported by the neighbours. The rescuer almost begged for Rody’s return.

Rody socializes well at the foster’s family. Energetic, happy, without a worry on his mind, just like a puppy is supposed to be. Not surprisingly, he barks minimally when being at home and generally is a well-behaved pooch. Would you be his real forever companion?[/post_text_body]

  • Bibi

    Bibi

[post_text_body]Bibi is a girly, shy, but people loving black Formosan mountain dog cross. She’s affectionate yet obedient. What’s better is that her best side-kick besides her foster mother is a cat! Yup, Bibi can play with him night and day. Are you looking for a cute cat sitter? Bibi is the one! Bibi was adopted from the street by a family who has never had any experiences with dogs. What they meant by “adopting” was really “neglecting.” When she behaved naughtily to ask for attention, she received physical punishment. The foster mother was friends with the family that first adopted Bibi, and took over Bibi when she found out what was going on, and got her all the shots and deworming treatments she needed. Bibi is obedient but she needs to be given lots of chew toys when left alone at home. She obeys boundaries very well and will only stay in the gated area. She also adapts well in an new environment. She will fit best in a family with a lot of things going on! At the age of 1 year old, she will likely stay in the size she is in now. Become Bibi’s permanent side-kick by sending us an application![/post_text_body]

  • Lana

    Lana

[post_text_body]Lana is a 4 month old Formosan Mountain Dog mix and just that typical hoppy kid you see at a family restaurant. She is outgoing and talkative and a puppy through and through! Lana was part of a litter of five found at a fisherman’s wharf in Northern Taiwan. Despite their mother’s best effort to find a territory there, they were constantly bullied by other larger male dogs in the area. Other dogs would just come and steal their food, and very often that the puppies could only eat dirt, grass, even dead fish to survive. Fortunately, they were rescued and their 3 other siblings already found their forever homes! It is now Lana’s turn! Lana is at that puppy stage of life where she will nibble on everything she can find, which makes her a great carpenter around the home. Possibly from the past bad experience, she is fearful of large adult men and may bark non-stop when seeing one. Because of this, Lana will fit best in a household that can give her loads of stimulations and attention. Lana needs a patient, experienced dog owner to help her with her nibbling issue and barking. Will you be the one giving Lana a forever home?[/post_text_body]

[post_text_body]Pepper is an introverted 4 month old Formosan Mountain Dog mix who loves people and food! Pepper is like a toned down version of her sister Lana and she is quieter, and more girly. Pepper was part of a litter of five found at a fisherman’s wharf in Northern Taiwan. It is now Pepper and Lana’s turn! Pepper is teething so she loves nibbling now but not as much as her sister Lana.
