The 5 month old Formosan Mountain Dog puppy Kona is extroverted, playful, and confident. She loves food, toys, dogs, kids, people, and more importantly, gets along with kitties! During the 3 months in the foster mother’s home, she learned simple commands like sit and shaking paws, and even learned to walk on leash! Expect loads of fun with this lively girl on walks and hiking trails, but also lots of silly play time and cuddling hours at home!

Sweet sisters Kona and Viola were born in a remote mountain range; Despite their mommy’s best effort, the rest of the litter had passed away when found. The mother was extremely human averting, and it took the rescuer several weeks to finally captured and spayed her. When returning the mommy to their original territory, Kona and Viola chased the rescuer as they drove to leave. Seeing all of these happening, the rescuer couldn’t help but took both of them in. There, Kona and Viola’s journey of finding a furever home begins.

Kona loves playing with other dogs. She loves dogs, cats, kids and is just so full of lively puppy energy. As intelligent as she is, Kona learned all the commands right away. She can be slightly shy in the first day or two, but would quickly bounces back to her playful lively self. Being a Formosan Mountain Dog, she is expected to grow up to 65cm tall, 85cm long and 25kg. Given the adaptive nature of the breed, she can do well in medium to high energy lifestyles. She will also have a short coat that sheds minimally and requires little grooming.
