The rescuer saw a Facebook post asking for help. In the post, there were two dogs’ pictures and the person said they couldn’t keep the dogs and would put them to the shelter if no one could help. The rescuer quickly contacted the person and drove more than an hour to pick up the dogs. Panda and Sock’s mother came to say hi to the visitors (rescuers). The person withe dogs said that the mom was a stray and came to their home and gave birth to 6 pups. The mom and the pups only ate the human leftovers to survive. When the pups reached 1 month old, the person’s dad kept one pup and drove the rest 5 out to dump. The person with the dog was angry and drove out to look for the puppies, but could recover two. In Taiwan, the superstition was the dogs with white feet are unlucky because the luck would leak out from their feet. The rescuer took the pups home to prepare them for their forever home.
