Adopted for 3 years into a home in Vancouver, Rou was returned back to the rescue due to indoor territorial guarding indoors and fear for children. Under the foster’s experienced care, Rou is able to greet visitors with affection and share space with dogs with some supervision and proper introductions. Like many Formosan Mountain Dogs, Rou’s behaviour and security level depends largely on the handler’s personality, attention and skills. Rou was very loved and trained by the previous family, but will succeed with more structure, kind but firm leadership.
